Chelmsford Foodies Festival is one of the newest additions to the UK’s Foodies Festival tour, held in Hylands Park. This three-day summer event features cookery shows, tasting sessions, live music, and gourmet street food.
Celebrity chefs from MasterChef and Bake Off join local talent in the Chef’s Theatre and Cake & Bake Theatre. Visitors can also sample a range of craft drinks in the Drinks Theatre and browse a bustling artisan market.
The festival includes a Kids Cookery School, wellness area, and fairground rides, ensuring fun for all ages. Live music from tribute acts and local performers creates a party-like atmosphere each evening.
Hylands Park’s scenic location and good transport links make Chelmsford’s festival a top draw for Essex food lovers.

Bus:
Route C4 First Buses: Alight at Lodge Road and walk through the underpass into the park via the Writtle car park entrance.
Route 351: This route also goes to Hylands Park, but be cautious when crossing a busy dual carriageway.Check with First Essex for the most up-to-date bus information.
Car:
There are car parks at both the Hylands House entrance (London Road, CM2 8WQ) and the Hylands Park entrance Greenbury Way, CM2 8FS.
