Overview

Glastonbury Festival is a massive five-day celebration of contemporary music, performing arts, and creative culture. Held in Somerset, it transforms 900 acres of countryside into a temporary city of over 200,000 attendees. The festival showcases artists across genres, including pop, rock, electronic, hip-hop, reggae, folk, and world music. Major stages like the Pyramid Stage and Other Stage host global icons, while smaller areas highlight niche and emerging talent.

In addition to music, the festival is known for its diverse arts programming. Shangri-La, Arcadia, Theatre & Circus, and the Green Fields offer everything from immersive theatre and political debate to circus, healing spaces, and visual art installations. Wellness areas provide yoga, meditation, and therapy sessions, contributing to the festival's holistic appeal.

Glastonbury emphasizes sustainability, encouraging recycling, reuse, and eco-awareness. Food and drink options cater to all diets, with many vendors prioritizing local and organic ingredients. Markets, workshops, and community zones create a participatory and inclusive environment.

Despite unpredictable weather, Glastonbury’s atmosphere is unrivalled, attracting music lovers, families, and culture seekers alike. With its combination of entertainment, activism, and artistry, the festival is widely regarded as a landmark experience.
