Reading Festival
Overview
Reading Festival is one of the UK’s most popular music events, known for its vibrant crowds and energetic performances. Taking place every August Bank Holiday weekend at Richfield Avenue in Reading, it features a wide range of genres, including rock, indie, punk, hip-hop, and pop.
The festival's Main Stage showcases high-profile acts, while secondary stages highlight emerging artists, alternative genres, and club-style DJ sets. The event is especially popular among younger attendees and university students, giving it a high-energy atmosphere.
Camping is available on site, with areas for standard, quiet, and boutique camping. Attendees can also access food stalls, merchandise vendors, charging stations, lockers, and welfare services. Late-night activities like silent discos and fairground rides keep the energy going into the early hours.
Easily accessible by train and car, Reading Festival is well-serviced by local transport and is organized to accommodate large crowds efficiently. The festival runs in parallel with Leeds Festival, featuring the same lineup across different days. Its mix of established and up-and-coming talent makes it a staple for fans looking for a weekend of non-stop music and fun.
