WELCOME TO THE FESTIVAL GOER’S FESTIVAL
The most fiercely independent, seriously silly, wildly creative and radically sustainable party in a field. Discover a blistering array of music and performance, woodland parties, arts, wellbeing, workshops and dance.
Ours is a 25 year old, family friendly, completely independent music and arts festival, which takes place every August Bank Holiday on a secret, countryside estate near Market Harborough in Northamptonshire (exact directions are sent out with your tickets).
We do things a bit differently here… for example:
- The music goes on late – til about 5am, even on the Sunday night.
- Our community look after the site (and each other) – there are no tents left behind here.
- We’re family friendly – and yet still, somehow, a proper party.
- We don’t charge you extra for things like keeping yourself clean. There are hot shower blocks all around the site which are completely free to use.
- You can take your own booze and food into the ‘main arena’ – once you’re in the festival, you’re in, we’re not confiscating your snacks or drinks at any check points etc. (That said, our bars are wicked and stocked with a range of amazing, ethical, locally sourced tipples, so please do support them – as an independent event, they’re a key income stream!)

Rail Traveller Options
If you buy a Rail Traveller ticket, your tickets must be purchased in conjunction with a Rail Station Shuttle Bus ticket (bookable through Shambala official ticket page). This Shuttle Bus ticket will get you from either Market Harborough or Long Buckby train stations to our festival site, and back again! The shuttle bus from either station is free for under 16s, with no prior booking required for this age group. Under 16s may be required to show proof of age.
Your discounted Rail Traveller ticket is strictly only valid for entry if you arrive at the festival via the shuttle buses and show a valid rail ticket for the same day as entry to the event. Please do not turn up to the festival by car or any other mode of transport, if you have booked this ticket type, or you may be refused entry.
Shuttle Buses
Shuttle buses run at regular intervals from Long Buckby and Market Harborough stations on both Thursday (21st August) and Friday (22nd August), between 11am – 9pm.
The shuttles will also take you back to either station on the Monday (25th August) between 8am – 1pm.
Return coaches are available from Bristol, Brighton, London, Birmingham, Manchester and Sheffield.
All coaches and coach tickets are for departures on the Thursday of the event. All tickets include return travel on the Monday after the show.
Please check all the information below carefully it is your responsibility to comply with terms of Shambala Express travel and be on time for your departures.
